Seattle-based musician and songwriter Dan McInerney has released his newest work, "Machinery", a CD which introduces rock/fusion fans to his high tech, aggressive guitar style in the tradition of Larry Carlton, Scott Henderson and Jan Akkerman. Machinery features eight McInerney original instrumentals, a unique cover of the Beatles "And Your Bird Can Sing", and a modern rendition of the 1968 Mason Williams staple, "Classical Gas". Whether on rhythm guitar or playing bone-cutting, intricate solos, McInerney's compositions all carry his unique musical stamp.
A Northwest native, McInerney has composed and produced music for the last 15 years, performing and recording as an accomplished session player throughout the region while creating and producing commercial music for clients such as Corbis Corporation, World Telecom Group and C-Four Records. He currently teaches future guitar stars and plays out as much as possible.
McInerney hopes "Machinery" marks the beginning of a long and successful career in the expanding instrumental rock/fusion category. McInerney is hard at work on a blues project with a Seattle artist, and has begun songwriting for his second CD.
