Size DOES Matter is the new CD release from Big Brian and the Blues Busters, headed up (as you might expect" by guitarist "Big Brian" Schuster. The band is an exciting, high energy reinvention of American roots and blues, their songs ranging from heavy R&B ("Don't Ever Fall In Love") to 50's style honky-tonk ("Didn't I Hear Ya Say") to soulful gospel ballads ("Once Proud Soldier") to classic blues ("Tobacco Road"). The Busters cover of ZZ Top's "Thunderbird" gives Big Brian a chance to rip it up on the guitar, and on several other occasions, he shatters the silence with some nasty, blistering blues licks and spirited solos. Size DOES Matter appears to be giving the California bluesmen some attention and should be a boost to their live performance schedule and press notoriety.
Big Brian was born in the back of a pick-up truck in Inglewood, California, and was left on his parents doorstep by a band of gypsy nomads. And from there on out, it's been a long, strange trip. Keyboard player Mike Walker was drop kicked into this world because God decided his parents desperately needed to learn how to shake their heads in utter disbelief. He has since developed his talent to the extent that anyone that meets him soon acquires it through osmosis. The Brian and Mike tag team play from the soul, and are dedicated to the groove with a "make ya wanna get up and testify" honesty.
Big Brian and the Blues Busters are currently seeking recording label interest, professional management/agent representation and live performance bookings.
